Our property is located in the Cascade foothills of Washington State, five miles outside of the city of Monroe, 30 miles northeast of Seattle.

This is land that has not been touched with pesticide or fertilizer for 15 years. Within its 7.58 wooded acres (left naturally wild), it is a registered backyard wildlife sanctuary where hundreds of birds (eagles, owls, hawks plus so many others!), a bevy of bats, rabbits, and squirrels live and thrive. The woods have been left wild to provide the utmost sanctuary for the animals and privacy for us.

There are (never measured exactly by us) two meadows above and below the house which probably account for 2 + acres. Although they are not on the flat, the upper meadow could be terraced for amazing gardens. The lower meadow could be worked with to create a huge, all-day sunny garden. There is also a sacred fire circle (50' round with a 50" fire circle in center) on the property between the road, lower meadow and house. Also, there is an attached, small passive solar greenhouse.
